On May 22, Da Nang Department of Construction officially updated the list of 34 land plots that have been planned for social housing construction in the area but have not yet selected investors. This is a decision in the roadmap for implementing the Prime Minister's Project "Investing in building at least 1 million social housing apartments for low-income people and industrial park workers".
These land areas stretch in key locations such as Ngu Hanh Son, Lien Chieu, Ba Na, Hoa Khanh and Dien Ban Dong areas, with flexible areas, meeting diverse project scales from several thousand square meters to urban areas up to tens of hectares.
At a meeting with voters in early May, Mr. Le Van Tuan - Deputy Director of Da Nang City Department of Construction - said that by the end of 2025, the total social housing fund in the whole area had reached about 20,000 apartments. However, under population pressure and actual needs, the city has proactively planned 36 new projects with a scale of up to 31,000 apartments.
In which, Da Nang is focusing its efforts on key projects targeting workers. Typical examples are projects in Hoa Cam area (200 units), Hai Van (735 units) and Chu Lai (538 units). These projects are being accelerated, expected to be put into use in 2027, contributing to stabilizing the lives of thousands of workers in industrial parks.
Mr. Le Van Tuan affirmed that the city is making maximum efforts to support businesses: "Da Nang City is building a resolution to continue to provide incentives for investors, exempting both the site clearance costs in social housing projects as well as the infrastructure investment to contribute to reducing selling prices and rental prices.
According to a representative of the Department of Construction, reducing the burden of input costs not only helps investors feel secure in implementation but is also a direct solution to pull social housing prices down to the level most suitable for people's income. At the same time, regarding administrative procedures, the Department of Construction is committed to simplifying the maximum steps of approval, creating a transparent legal corridor in accordance with the spirit of Resolution No. 201/2025/QH15 of the National Assembly and related Decrees of the Government.
Interested investors can proactively study the list of 34 land plots mentioned above and prepare dossiers requesting investment policy approval to send to the Department of Construction for appraisal.
