Recently, the social housing project in Ngoc Hoi commune (former Thanh Tri district) has attracted the attention of people when it became one of the first projects in Hanoi to open for receiving applications to buy and lease social housing in 2026.
Records at the project dossier receiving point show that if in the early stage people had to queue to get appointment slips, now the submission of dossiers has been more orderly, no longer prolonged waiting. It is known that each day the investor receives about 25 sets of dossiers from previous appointment slips.
After many years of living and renting a house in Hanoi, Mr. Luong Duc Hoan (Phu Dien ward, Hanoi) came to submit his application with the desire to soon stabilize his family's accommodation.
Mr. Hoan said that for many years his family has been looking to buy apartments in Hanoi but could not find a product suitable for their financial capacity. Some apartments in Hoai Duc commune area he once went to see were priced above 4 billion VND, making it very difficult for his family to access. Therefore, when he saw information about social housing projects being opened for sale, he applied for registration.
Although it was quite hard to queue for the appointment form in the early days, I am very happy to submit my application now. I hope to be able to own a social housing apartment to stabilize my life. Whether the apartment is far from the center or small in area, our family is very happy" - Mr. Hoan shared.
Also coming to submit applications to buy social housing, Ms. Le Anh Thu (Kim Lien ward, Hanoi) said that she is currently raising two young children alone and renting a house in Hanoi. She hopes to have a stable place to live so that her children can study with peace of mind.
According to Ms. Thu, the application procedure is now much simpler and faster. People only need to prepare all the documents as required by the investor, without having to add many other documents.

Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Phu Vinh - Deputy General Director of Mechanical and Construction Joint Stock Company No. 7, the project investor, said that the project is expected to receive about 650 applications. Up to now, the investor has issued 700 appointment slips and received more than 300 sets of applications.
According to Mr. Vinh, the work of receiving dossiers has many steps and requires careful handling to avoid errors. The process includes the stages of issuing appointment slips, receiving dossiers, appraising, summarizing reports and submitting them to leaders for approval before announcing results.
Regarding the construction progress, the project is currently under construction to about the 8th floor and is guaranteed according to the set plan. According to the investment policy, the project is expected to be handed over in the fourth quarter of 2027. However, the investor is striving to shorten the progress, aiming to complete around the third quarter of 2027.


Previously, Lao Dong's records on April 28 showed that due to the limited number of appointment slips issued, a large number of people were present at the application receiving point of the social housing project in Ngoc Hoi commune to queue through the night, keeping seats to wait to receive appointment slips to submit house purchase applications.
According to research, the project is built in Ngoc Hoi commune (Hanoi City) on a land area of 3,317m2. The temporary selling price of social housing is 24.74 million VND/m2. The rental price is 556,520 VND/m2, the rental price is 21,5625 VND/m2.
The project has a total of 196 apartments. Among them, social housing for sale includes 109 units, with areas from 40.4m2 to 59.4m2, equivalent to prices from about 999.4 million VND to 1.46 billion VND/unit. The time to receive applications for purchase and lease-purchase lasts from April 25, 2026 to the end of May 30, 2026.
