On June 11, the Department of Construction announced that it had received comments on the draft Decision detailing cases where people with houses under their ownership but far from the workplace are entitled to social housing support policies in Da Nang city (referred to as the Decision).
According to the Department of Construction, on May 29, 2025, the National Assembly issued Resolution No. 201/2025/QH15 on a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of social housing. In which, Clause 2, Article 9 of this Resolution stipulates:
In case the beneficiary of the social housing support policy is a person with a workplace far from his/her place of residence, the condition for housing to be bought or rented for social housing is not to buy or rent-purchase social housing, not having a house under his/her ownership or having a house under his/her ownership but far from the workplace.
Based on the actual conditions of the locality, the People's Committee at the provincial level shall specify in detail the case of having a house of one's own but far from the workplace to enjoy social housing support policies".
On this basis, the Department of Construction drafted the Decision dossier of the City People's Committee, detailing the implementation of Clause 2, Article 9 of Resolution 201/2025/QH15 of the National Assembly on cases where people with houses under their ownership but far from their workplace are entitled to social housing support policies in Da Nang city.
According to the above draft, it is stipulated that people with houses under their ownership but far from their workplace are entitled to social housing support policies in Da Nang city, applicable to people with houses under their ownership outside the radius of 30km, calculated from the workplace and outside the radius of 15km from the social housing project.
The distance from the social housing project to the workplace must be shorter than the distance from the current housing to the workplace.
The Department of Construction shall preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, branches, People's Committees of wards and communes to guide, inspect, supervise and synthesize, and report to the City People's Committee on the implementation of the above regulations.
Investors of social housing construction investment projects study and receive applications for registration to buy and rent social housing to ensure the above subjects and criteria and in accordance with other relevant current legal regulations.
The Department of Construction will announce information on the draft Decision dossier within 10 days on the City's Electronic Information Portal and summarize comments (if any) before June 21.
