Investing more than 175 billion VND to build 10 resettlement areas for the Ninh Binh - Hai Phong Expressway Project

Ninh Binh - Nearly 340 households affected by the Ninh Binh - Hai Phong Expressway Project, the section passing through the old Ninh Binh province, have been arranged new accommodation in resettlement areas.

Up to now (April 16), Ninh Binh province has completed site clearance for the Ninh Binh - Hai Phong expressway construction investment project, the section passing through the former Ninh Binh province. Nearly 340 households affected by the Project have also been arranged and allocated land in resettlement areas to build new houses.

In the resettlement area of hamlet 11, Khanh Nhac commune, Ninh Binh province, according to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, households are urgently building new houses. In addition, the investor is also urgently improving infrastructure to meet the living needs of the people.

As one of the first households to build new houses in the resettlement area of hamlet 11, Khanh Nhac commune shared that the new housing has been invested in synchronous infrastructure, from electricity and water to transportation, all are very convenient.

My family was allocated nearly 100m2 of land to build a house. Immediately after drawing lots for land allocation and completing procedures, my family immediately started building a house. It is expected that in about 2 months, my family can move to live in this new house" - Mr. Son said.

Mr. Tran Thanh Chung - Chairman of Khanh Nhac Commune People's Committee said: In the commune, there is a resettlement area for households affected by the Ninh Binh - Hai Phong expressway construction investment project.

The resettlement area is located in hamlet 11 of the commune with a total area of over 1ha, for 27 households. The total investment in infrastructure for this resettlement area is over 15 billion VND.

Currently, we have completed the lottery and handed over land to people to build houses. The investor is also speeding up the completion of infrastructure to serve the living needs of the people" - Mr. Chung said.

According to a representative of the leadership of the Ninh Binh Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 1 (investor of the Ninh Binh - Hai Phong expressway construction investment project, section passing through the former Ninh Binh province), Ninh Binh province has arranged 10 resettlement areas, with a total area of 12.5ha to meet the housing needs of 338 households affected by the Project. The total investment of 10 resettlement areas is over 175 billion VND, currently people have come to live, build houses, and settle down in resettlement areas.

The resettlement areas are much more spacious than the old residences, the electricity and water systems are arranged right at each household's door, so it is very convenient. The province's motto is to arrange a better new residence than the old residence for households affected by the Project" - representative of the leadership of the Ninh Binh Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 1.

It is known that the Ninh Binh - Hai Phong expressway project, the section passing through the old Ninh Binh province, has a total length of 25.3km, a design speed of 120km/h, a roadbed width of 24.75m and auxiliary works on the route. The project has a total investment of 6,865 billion VND, of which the central budget is 4,865 billion VND and the Ninh Binh provincial budget is 2,000 billion VND. The project was shortened by Ninh Binh province from 6 years (2024 - 2029) to 3 years (2024 - 2026) and is expected to be completed by the end of November 2026.
