Investing nearly 135 billion VND to build a 2.2 hectare park
The Binh Bridge South Intersection Green Park Project has a total investment of nearly 135 billion VND from the city budget, with the Hong Bang District People's Committee as the investor. The project started on July 4, 2023 and is expected to be completed in 2025.
The total project area is 2.2 hectares, including the construction of a green park of 2.09 hectares, including a yard and walking path, planting trees and grass, building a rainwater drainage system, water supply system, lighting system, etc.
Along with that, building a 195.9 m long embankment on the Re River on reinforced concrete piles, renovating and expanding the existing road connecting to Bai Say road.
According to Lao Dong reporters, on the morning of November 15, the working atmosphere at the construction site of the Green Park project at the South Binh Bridge intersection was urgent. Contractors were completing sidewalks, yards, walking paths and part of the Re River embankment. Some items have been installed such as lighting systems, rest huts, trees, etc.
According to the representative of the Hong Bang District Construction Investment Management Board, the project has not been on schedule due to a number of reasons. In particular, regarding site clearance, the Hong Bang District People's Committee has reclaimed 2.2 hectares of land related to 2 organizations and 6 households to serve the project. Due to many opinions and recommendations from households and organizations, it was not until mid-March 2024 that the locality completed the site clearance and handed over the site to the construction contractor.
Not to mention, the project had to adjust the design according to the direction of Hai Phong City People's Committee due to the 110kV line passing through.
Speed up project progress
Also according to the representative of the Project Management Board, for the 110 kV high-voltage power line, to ensure safety and landscape, the People's Committee of Hong Bang District has proposed and received the city's approval to invest in burying the power line through the park project. Up to now, the related procedures have been completed. The People's Committee of Hong Bang District has directed the adjustment of the design and construction drawings and construction of the 110 kV underground power line from column 5 to column 6 of Road 171, 172 E2.6 Ha Ly.
Currently, the contractor consortium is focusing on completing the final items to bring the Binh Bridge South Intersection Green Park Project to completion before the 2025 Lunar New Year.
Along with this project, Hong Bang district is urgently completing the Tam Bac river beautification project from Lac Long bridge to Hoang Van Thu bridge, striving to finish in 2024. At the same time, capital is allocated for 5 projects: the project to renovate and expand Bai Say sidewalk, Trai Chuoi ward; the project to renovate and expand Pham Phu Thu sidewalk, Ha Ly ward; the project to renovate An Chan street, So Dau ward; the project to renovate and expand Quan Toan 1 street, Quan Toan ward; the project to put underground 110kV high-voltage power line from column 06 to column 07 of road 171, 172 E2.6 Ha Ly. Thereby, contributing to improving traffic conditions at the northwestern gateway of the city, creating a highlight of the landscape architecture of the area, meeting the urban beautification process in Hong Bang district in particular and Hai Phong city in general.
