On November 17, Lao Dong's source said that the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Son La province has just released a preliminary report summarizing 5 years of implementing the Law on Anti-Corruption.
The report clearly stated that the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Son La and its affiliated units were the direct subjects of inspection or related units of 17 inspections, checks and audits conducted by the Ministry, Central branches, Provincial People's Committee, Provincial Inspectorate, State Audit and the inspection system of functional branches under the Provincial People's Committee.
"Basically, through inspections, there are still some shortcomings and deficiencies in administration as well as in funding (there are no cases or incidents of corruption). The Department and its affiliated units have had plans to overcome them seriously and promptly according to regulations" - Son La Department of Agriculture and Rural Development said.
In addition, from 2019-2024, this agency has conducted 17 administrative inspections of affiliated units throughout the industry.
Of these, there were 11 inspections of Management Boards and Forest Ranger Stations with inspection content on corruption prevention and control (5 inspections with anti-corruption content through inspection of the responsibilities of Directors and Heads of Management Boards and Forest Ranger Stations; 6 inspections specifically included anti-corruption content in the inspection decision).
Through inspection, most units basically comply with legal regulations on corruption prevention and control, and no signs, incidents or cases of corruption are detected.
However, there are still some shortcomings discovered through inspection of procedures and processes for implementing anti-corruption work, thereby making recommendations for handling and requiring the organizing unit to overcome and implement according to regulations.
