On September 30, the People's Committee of Dien Bien province coordinated with Duc Hai Dien Bien Company Limited to organize a groundbreaking ceremony for the new urban area project and Muong Thanh airport walking street. This is the project selected to start construction to celebrate the 15th Congress of the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030.
With a total investment of nearly 700 billion VND, the project is oriented to be the first digital urban area of Dien Bien province, harmoniously combined with green space.
The new urban area and Muong Thanh airport walking street have a total area of nearly 7.6 hectares. Of which, the area for adjacent land is more than 2 hectares, including 189 adjacent houses with a floor area of each house of 102m2 or more. Nearly 5.6 hectares are public land, green land, parking land, internal traffic land, international kindergartens...
The project is located in a prime location, next to Dien Bien airport and near famous historical sites such as: Do Cat tunnel, Muong Thanh bridge, Dien Bien Phu Victory monument...
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Do said that the project will be a modern, synchronous new urban area, meeting the needs of residential land, housing and social services of the people. In addition, completing the urban infrastructure of Dien Bien Phu ward will create new development momentum for trade, services and tourism.
The Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee also requested that the project investor be determined in operation, quality management, progress, ensuring labor safety, fire prevention and fighting and environmental sanitation throughout the implementation process.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Duc - Director of Duc Hai Dien Bien Company Limited (investor) - pledged to focus on human resources, machinery, technology and experience to ensure progress, quality, labor safety and environmental sanitation.
Mr. Duc also affirmed that he will strive to complete the project beyond the set plan. The company is expected to open for sale in late 2025 and hand over the apartments in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Previously, on August 13, Mr. Le Thanh Do signed a decision on recognizing the winning bidding results for land use rights auctions to select investors to implement the Muong Thanh airport new urban area and walking street project. Accordingly, Duc Hai Dien Bien Company Limited was the winning bidder with a price of more than 153 billion VND.
