On May 10, the Provincial People's Committee directed specialized agencies to drastically accelerate compensation and site clearance to construct the Quy Nhon - Pleiku expressway project.
The report of the Gia Lai Provincial Traffic and Civil Works Project Management Board said that for component projects 1 and 2, the work of planting concrete piles and handing over cadastral map drawing documents to localities has been completed.
In which, localities in component project area 1 have approved compensation plans for 1,313/1,550 households and carried out procedures for payment to more than 1,000 households; and at the same time paid and relocated more than 2,900 graves.
For component project 2, 1,619/712 households have been counted, confirming the origin of land for more than 1,100 households and approving compensation plans for 554 households.
For component project 3 invested by the Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board, so far localities have approved compensation plans for 254.76/340.83ha, with a length of 30.07/34.85km (reaching 86.3%), total cost of more than 1,300 billion VND.
In which, 207.85ha have been paid for and handed over, corresponding to a length of 25.03km (reaching 72%), with a total cost of nearly 925.3 billion VND.
For 4 resettlement areas, functional agencies have assigned contractors to gather materials, equipment, arrange ground, and camps to organize construction, expected to be completed in July 2026.
The Gia Lai provincial government identifies the expressway project as a key and large-scale project, so it requires regular inspection, examination, and supervision with a spirit of decisiveness, transparency, doing it correctly and accurately, and not allowing errors to occur; each working session must make a record and each meeting must solve the problem.
At the same time, the province continues to verify the origin of land; prioritize site clearance for resettlement areas.
