On May 9, informing Lao Dong, Lieutenant Colonel Le Xuan Thuong - Head of Highway Traffic Police Team No. 5 (Room 6, Traffic Police Department) - said that after 10 days of putting the North-South expressway through Quang Ngai and Gia Lai provinces into operation, functional forces have discovered and handled hundreds of traffic violations.

Statistics from April 29 to May 9, functional forces handled 395 violations, fined more than 1.5 billion VND and deducted points from driver's licenses for 266 cases.
The most common violation is speeding. The main violating vehicles are cars, in addition to trucks and passenger cars.

In addition to handling violations, the traffic police force promptly prevented many dangerous acts such as people opening fences to sell water on the highway, motorbikes going against traffic and many children gathering to play on the newly opened highway. Up to now, these cases have been reminded and thoroughly handled and are no longer recurring.
To prevent and thoroughly handle violations, functional forces strengthen patrols and inspections throughout the route; and at the same time promote propaganda, warnings, and request people to strictly comply with traffic regulations," Lieutenant Colonel Le Xuan Thuong said.

Nearly 178km of the North-South Expressway in the East phase 2021-2025 through Quang Ngai and Gia Lai provinces officially opened to traffic at noon on April 29, including the Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon expressway, 88km long, Hoai Nhon - Quy Nhon expressway, more than 70km long and about 20km belonging to the Quy Nhon - Chi Thanh project.
These 3 expressway sections have a scale of 4 lanes, the maximum speed allowed is 90km/h for cars, trucks under 3.5 tons and passenger cars under 29 seats; 80km/h for sleeper buses and other vehicles; the minimum speed is 60km/h. The route currently does not have emergency stop lanes, only technical stops along the route.
