On May 7, Chairman of Dong Nai City People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut inspected the actual construction progress of component project 1 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway and requested the investor, contractors and related units to accelerate the construction progress to complete the items as well as the necessary procedures to open this project to traffic before May 18.
Chairman of Dong Nai City People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut requested contractors to mobilize maximum manpower and resources, increase shifts and construction teams to complete the project items to ensure traffic progress (May 18).
Chairman of Dong Nai City People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut also requested the Department of Industry and Trade and the City Land Fund Development Center to urgently implement the elevation of the high-voltage power line at km5+260, ensuring safety when the project is opened to traffic.
According to the City Construction Investment Project Management Board, Component Project 1 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway is about 16km long, passing through 5 wards and communes of Dong Nai city including: Phuoc Tan, Tam Phuoc, Binh An, Long Thanh and An Phuoc. To date, the total realized value of the project has reached more than 2,200 billion VND, reaching 90% of the signed contract value.
In addition to directing contractors to accelerate the construction progress and complete the remaining items of the project, the City Construction Investment Project Management Board is also developing a traffic organization plan, requesting functional agencies to carry out acceptance to complete procedures to serve the project's traffic opening.
Previously, more than 37km of Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway belonging to Component 2 and Component 3 Projects were officially opened to traffic, contributing to reducing traffic congestion for National Highway 51, shortening travel time from Dong Nai to Ho Chi Minh City.
