Regarding the land area of tens of hectares planned for the expansion project of Dong An 2 Industrial Park, the Electronic Information Portal of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee said that this area has been approved to reduce the industrial land planning.
On August 3, 2024, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 790/QD-TTg approving the planning of Binh Duong province for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. Thereby, it approved the reduction of the planning area of Dong An 2 Industrial Park from 205.38 ha to 158.51 ha (a reduction of about 47 ha).
To carry out the procedures to reduce the area of the industrial park, Hung Thinh Construction Production Trading Joint Stock Company is responsible for carrying out the procedures to adjust the planning and reduce the area size approved in the 2007 investment registration certificate issued by the Binh Duong Industrial Parks Management Board.
The reduced planning area will be implemented according to the general planning of Thu Dau Mot city and Ben Cat city.
Previously, in 2023, Hung Thinh Construction Production Trading Joint Stock Company sent an official dispatch requesting to convert the planning of the expansion of Dong An 2 Industrial Park into an urban residential area.
Many households are having their rights affected.
According to the Electronic Information Portal of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee, in recent years, people in Hoa Phu Ward (Thu Dau Mot City), Hoa Loi Ward (Ben Cat Town) have continuously petitioned about the land of dozens of hectares planned for Dong An 2 Industrial Park.
After many years, the Dong An 2 Industrial Park project has not been implemented. This affects the rights of people living on this land, such as not being able to carry out procedures for changing land use purposes, dividing plots, building houses...
Regarding this issue, the People's Council of Binh Duong province has requested the People's Committee of Binh Duong province to direct relevant units to review the progress of the Dong An 2 Industrial Park (expansion) and promptly resolve the above legitimate requests of voters.
In the immediate future, it is necessary to soon have solutions to renovate and temporarily repair the traffic route to ensure people's travel.
