On April 16, 2025, the City People's Committee issued Plan No. 106/KH- UBND on overcoming shortcomings in State management of land in the city and Official Letter No. 161/VP-DC1 dated April 26, 2025 on strengthening land management and construction order in localities; in which, it assigned the task to departments, branches and localities to strengthen State management of land, carry out procedures and records to ensure compliance with legal regulations.
However, through the work of grasping the situation, some localities have seen the situation of converting land use purposes to residential land not in accordance with regulations, especially during the period of merging provinces, reorganizing communes and abandoning district levels, causing many opinions among the people.
Faced with the above situation, the Chairman of the City People's Committee directed the Chairman of the District People's Committee to temporarily suspend receiving and handling dossiers on converting land use to residential land for households and individuals from June 10 until a new direction from the city is issued.
The Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment directs the inspection and review of the situation of converting land use purposes to residential land for households and individuals in localities from the effective date of the 2024 Land Law, focusing on the period from March 1, 2025 to present, identifying violations to report to the City People's Committee.
