On August 13, news from the Hai Phong City People's Committee said: According to the direction of the Chairman of the City People's Committee, to complete the socio-economic development targets for 2025, the city has determined that the task from now until the end of the year is to focus on monitoring and inspecting the progress of projects and production and business activities of investors; promptly removing difficulties and obstacles, supporting each enterprise and each project.
Of which, Hai Phong has included 43 infrastructure development and economic development projects in the list of key projects directed by Hai Phong City. Of these, 27 projects will start construction in 2025 and 6 projects will be implemented from 2024 onwards, 10 projects will be completed during the year.
For the 27 projects started in 2025, 14 use budget capital, 13 projects use non-budget capital. Projects using budget capital have a total investment of more than VND 9,154 billion, with 3 projects implemented in the East of Hai Phong (in the old Hai Phong city) with a total investment of more than VND 1,246 billion; 11 projects implemented in the West of Hai Phong city (in the old Hai Duong province) with a total investment of more than VND 7,907 billion.
3 projects in the eastern area of Hai Phong include: Investment project, construction, restoration and embellishment of the K15 wharf relic complex (old Do Son district) with an investment of more than 234 billion VND; Project to buildunarks and anchorages for ships of the standing militia Navy with an investment of more than 295 billion VND; Investment project to build a road after wharves No. 3 to No. 6 of the Lach Huyen International Border Gate Port area with an investment of more than 716 billion VND. These projects have all been approved by Hai Phong City for investment policy, approved for investment policy as well as issued investment decisions in 2024.
For 11 projects in the West of Hai Phong with an investment of more than VND 7,907 billion, including 8 investment projects in developing transport infrastructure, 3 renovation projects in the fields of urban beautification; culture, sports and projects recognizing martyrs. These projects have all been approved by the People's Committee of Hai Duong province (old) for investment policies in the period from 2021 - 2024.
Specifically, 8 projects to develop transport infrastructure in the West of Hai Phong with a total investment of more than VND 6,588 billion include: The investment project to build the Ring Road 1 of Hai Duong City (from Road 62 m - Vo Nguyen Giap Avenue to Dai An Industrial Park expansion) with an investment of more than VND 436 billion; The investment project to build Tan An Bridge and the road connecting National Highway 18, Chi Linh City with a total investment of more than VND 600 billion; The investment project to build the road connecting National Highway 17 of Hai Duong province with Provincial Road 352 (Hai Phong City), the section from National Highway 17 to Kinh Thay River embankment (Kinh Mon Town) with a total investment of more than VND 786 billion; The investment project to build the extended provincial road (from Province 391 to Province 390 with an investment of more than VND 84 billion); The investment project to build the National Highway 17 of Hai Duong province with an investment of more than VND 1,27 billion; The investment project to build the National Highway 1 of Hai Duong province with an investment of more than VND 1,27 billion; The investment project to build the National Highway 1 of Hai Duong province with an investment of more than VND 1,27 billion; The investment project to build the National Highway 1 billion VND 1,29 billion, connecting the National Highway 1 billion VND 1,17 billion VND, connecting the North of Hai Phong province with the People's Capital City with the capital of more than VND 1,27 billion VND 1,27 billion VND.
