Thach Bich Green Park project is invested by the Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Civil and Industrial Works of Quang Ngai province.
The investment objective is to contribute to completing the criteria of a type I urban area, serving the lives and needs of people in Quang Ngai today and in the future.
Create architectural space and landscape highlights along the Tra Khuc riverbank; accelerate urbanization, creating motivation for urban development.
The project has a scale of 8.1 ha, including: Phan Boi Chau extended road and a park with functional areas (including: Outdoor event area; green areas, flower gardens; open space area; water square area; children's and games area; sports training land area). Total investment of 900 billion VND.
According to Mr. Pham Viet Ha - Deputy Director of the Department of Construction, functional agencies have completed inventory and survey of 273/277 land plots, involving 262 households. A compensation and support plan has been developed for phase 1 (for graves) for 36 households, individuals and one organization, with a total budget of about 1 billion VND; dossiers are currently being completed, expected to be approved in July 2026.
The investor has completed the bidding work, has selected and signed a contract with the consulting unit to prepare the construction drawing design and estimate (implemented after the basic design). Construction of the project is expected to start in the third quarter of 2026.
In the notice of conclusion of the Chairman of the Ward People's Committee at the periodic meeting with households in residential group 15, related to the Thach Bich Green Park project on July 27, 2026, Mr. Tran Dinh Truong - Chairman of Nghia Lo Ward People's Committee proposed that the Provincial Land Fund Development Center prioritize the development of compensation plans for residential land plots not included in the Decision approving plans of 3 old projects in the project area.
The Provincial Land Fund Development Center, the Investor, and specialized agencies of the Ward People's Committee promptly carry out procedures for confirming the origin, time of use, and time of construction immediately after the Provincial People's Committee issues a Decision adjusting Decision 62 of the Prime Minister; The Provincial People's Committee has a policy to resolve in a favorable direction agricultural land, land self-divided and donated by households for construction and residence in the project area. Strive to develop at least a plan for residential land plots in August 2026.
The Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Civil and Industrial Works of Quang Ngai province should soon complete the selection of construction contractors; develop specific plans, consult people's opinions, and avoid the situation that when construction is completed, it will cause flooding in the area in the rainy season. The latest time is August 15, 2026.
