On the morning of July 30, at the fourth session, the regular meeting in mid-2026, the Da Nang City People's Council of the XI term, 2026-2031, conducted personnel work under its authority.
At the meeting, the City People's Council dismissed Mr. Tran Chi Cuong from the position of Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee for the 2026-2031 term.
Mr. Tran Chi Cuong was elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee in July 2023. From July 1, 2026, Mr. Tran Chi Cuong was transferred to hold the position of Secretary of Hoi An ward, term 2025-2030.
Also in the session program, Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Nguyen Manh Hung presented a report introducing personnel for the City People's Council to elect members of the City People's Committee for the 2026-2031 term.
As a result, the City People's Council elected Ms. Cao Thi Huyen Tran - Director of the Department of Home Affairs; Mr. Nguyen Duc Binh - Chief of Office of the City People's Committee and Mr. Le Thanh Hung - Director of the Department of Construction to hold the position of Member of Da Nang City People's Committee for the 2026-2031 term.
Previously, the Standing Committee of the City People's Council issued a resolution to terminate the position of Member of the City People's Committee for Ms. Tran Thi Kim Hoa - Secretary of the Party Committee of Hai Chau Ward, former Director of the Department of Home Affairs; Mr. Nguyen Nhu Cong - Secretary of the Party Committee of Nui Thanh Commune, former Chief of Office of the City People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Ha Nam - Deputy Chairman of the City Party Committee's Inspection Committee, former Director of the Department of Construction.
