According to Mr. Nguyen Van Tan, Director of the Property Auction Service Center of Quang Ngai province, the unit has just successfully auctioned 79 plots of land belonging to many land fund development projects in the old Quang Ngai city.
Mr. Tan said that the plots of land scattered in other residential areas (KDC) invested by the State have synchronized infrastructure and have diverse areas, from 125 - 200m2 and more. Starting price ranges from over 400 million to over 8 billion VND/plot, depending on area and location, each plot deposit is determined according to the starting price.
Specifically, there are 56 lots of the Nghia Phu residential area project (phase 1), now An Phu commune; 6 lots of the Hao Thanh Land Fund Planning and Development Project, 3 lots of the Thanh Co - Nui But road residential area project, 13 lots of the Nghia Phu residential area project (phase 2) and 1 lot of the Thach Bich bridge residential area and resettlement project.
These plots of land were previously invested by the People's Committee of Quang Ngai city (old) with the purpose of developing land funds, creating revenue for the budget. Currently, it has been handed over to the Quang Ngai Provincial Land Fund Development Center.
The auction of 79 lots took place over two days, July 15 and 16 in the form of direct voting (maximum 5 rounds). Of which, on the 15th, 23 lots were auctioned, attracting hundreds of people to buy documents, participating in the auction and ending at 3:00 p.m. the same day. The price after bidding fluctuated by 20 - 90% compared to the starting price.
On July 16, the auction of 56 lots of the Nghia Phu Residential Area Project (phase 1) also attracted hundreds of participants. However, due to the large number of plots of land, they were divided into 8 auctions, each auction attracted a large number of bidders in all 5 rounds, so the auction took longer than expected.
The lots with starting prices around 500 million VND/125m2 were pushed up twice, even 3 times. "The auction ended at around 1:00 a.m. on July 18", Mr. Tan said and said that he expected the auction to be long, so the unit had prepared milk, cakes and lunch boxes to serve the auction participants.
This is the first time Quang Ngai has had a land auction taking place until 1am.
According to the Director of the Property Auction Service Center of Quang Ngai province, the auction took place safely and in accordance with regulations with the supervision of relevant parties. As a result, from the total initial starting price for 79 lots of more than 59 billion, participants have auctioned up nearly 129 billion, an increase of nearly 69 billion VND.
According to Mr. Pham Xuan Vinh - Director of the Quang Ngai Provincial Land Fund Development Center, as the owner of the property, the unit has closely monitored the auction developments. Currently, the work of submitting for approval of the results is being urgently implemented.
In 2025, the revenue from land auctions in Quang Ngai is expected to be more than VND 2,687 billion. Of which, in 2025, more than 1,087 billion VND will be collected, the remaining 1,600 billion VND will be recorded in early 2026.
In the first six months of the year, the Quang Ngai Provincial Land Fund Development Center - the unit with the largest collection task in the province, successfully auctioned 6 land plots, earning 104 billion VND. From now until the end of the year, the unit will closely follow the plan to auction 30 more plots of land, expected to bring in a revenue of nearly 1,300 billion VND.
