On May 15, the Office of the People's Committee of Hoa Binh province informed that in May 2025, the People's Committee of the province signed and issued decisions to convert forest use purposes for three major projects invested by Hoa Binh Sun Company Limited as follows:
The Cuoi Ha Eco-urban, High-class Entertainment and Cable Car System Complex Project, in Kim Boi and Cuoi Ha communes, Kim Boi district. The project converts 12.03 hectares of planted forest (adjusted outside the planning of three types of forests) to other purposes.
Thung Hill Eco-urban, Resort and Entertainment High-end Project, in Quy Hoa Commune, Lac Son District. The converted forest area is 29.06 hectares, which is also a planted forest with adjusted planning.
The Ho Kha premium hot mineral urban and resort project, also in Quy Hoa commune, Lac Son district, with a converted forest area of 14.93 hectares.
The total forest area converted through three projects is up to 56.02 hectares, mainly planted forests with the origin of planning as production forests, which have been adjusted outside the planning of three types of forests.
According to the decisions issued by the People's Committee of Hoa Binh province, the investor has fulfilled its financial obligations by paying the replacement forest planting fee to the Forest Protection and Development Fund of Hoa Binh province.
At the same time, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the People's Committees of Kim Boi and Lac Son districts will closely monitor the implementation of projects, ensure correct boundaries, areas and prevent violations of forestry laws.
According to the reporter's research, the Cuoi Ha Eco-urban, High-class Entertainment and Cable Car System Complex Project has a total investment of 3,500 billion VND; the Thung Hill Eco- do thi, Resort and High-class Entertainment Project has a total investment of 2,500 billion VND; the Ho Kha High-class Eco- do thi, Hot mineral resort project has a total investment of 1,200 billion VND.
