The An Duong Industrial Park Construction Investment Project has a total planned area of 196.1 hectares, located in 3 communes: Hong Phong, Bac Son, An Hoa (old), now An Phong ward. Land acquisition and site clearance work has been implemented since 2009 according to Notice No. 147/TB-UBND dated April 21, 2009 and Decision No. 2101/QD-UBND dated October 16, 2009 of the City People's Committee.
Up to now, the project has basically completed site clearance, the City People's Committee has assigned the investor 192.7 hectares of land. The remaining area is 3.44 ha, in April 2023, the investor continued to request site clearance to complete the project.
Implementing the direction of the City People's Committee, the People's Committee of An Duong district (old) has focused on implementing the following steps: organizing meetings with people, announcing land recovery plans, inventorying, making, publicizing, approving plans and paying compensation and support to households whose land has been recovered. Up to now, 3/57 households have received compensation and support; while 54/57 households have not agreed to receive money and hand over the site to implement the project.
Through on-site inspection, listening to reports and opinions from departments, branches and localities, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Kien requested the Party Committee and People's Committee of An Phong Ward to continue reviewing and finalizing the site clearance plan, handing over land to investors before December 15, 2025 to construct the main road in the industrial park. For the remaining area, the Vice Chairman suggested that the Party Committee and People's Committee of An Phong Ward continue to mobilize the participation of the entire political system, mobilize and propagate to complete site clearance and hand over the entire area to investors in 2025.
The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee also assigned the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Education and Training, vocational training institutions and enterprises to synthesize the demand for labor use in An Duong Industrial Park; at the same time, coordinate with the Department of Home Affairs to deploy a topic on job introduction platforms to serve the operation of industrial parks in the coming time.
