On August 6, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee announced that it had approved the adjustment of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Housing Development Program for the period 2021-2030, adding many goals to meet people's housing needs, develop a stable and sustainable real estate market and improve the quality of life.
According to the adjusted program, by 2030, the whole province strives to develop about 57,484,758m2 of completed and put into use housing floor space, raising the average housing area to about 34.85m2 of floor space/person.
Notably, the program supplements the goal of developing rental housing, aiming to meet the housing needs of about 74,578 workers, corresponding to the demand of about 2,599,043m2 of housing construction floor space.
For resettlement housing, the province continues to implement projects in the form of investing in complete technical infrastructure to arrange land plots for people to build their own houses. At the same time, Khanh Hoa will consider developing pre-built resettlement housing in central wards with limited land funds.
According to the Khanh Hoa Provincial Housing Development Program for the period 2021-2030, the total capital demand for housing development in the whole period is about 666.638 billion VND.
In which, the budget capital is about 1,482 billion VND to develop official housing and support housing for poor and near-poor households under national target programs; people with meritorious services to the revolution; program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses.
Outside-budget capital of about 665.156 billion VND is mobilized to develop commercial housing, social housing; invest in technical infrastructure, transfer land use rights to serve resettlement for households affected by projects and people self-building houses.
To date, the period 2021-2025 has implemented about 233.129 billion VND. The expected capital demand for housing development in the period 2026-2030 is about 433.508 billion VND.
