On July 16, the Office of the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee announced that the locality had issued a decision to establish a Steering Committee to handle difficulties in site clearance for key and dynamic projects in the province.
Accordingly, the Steering Committee consists of 21 members, headed by Mr. Tran Quoc Nam - Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee.
The three Deputy Heads of the Committee include Mr. Nguyen Long Bien, Tran Hoa Nam, Trinh Minh Hoang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, directly in charge of projects in assigned fields.
Mr. Nguyen Duy Quang - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment is Deputy Head of the Department, and is also the standing agency, monitoring, synthesizing and comprehensively advising on the work contents of the Steering Committee.
In addition, members of the Steering Committee include leaders of relevant departments, branches, agencies, Chairmen of the People's Committees of communes where the land is recovered for project implementation.
The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee and the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee were invited to participate as members.
The Steering Committee is responsible for researching, recommending and proposing to the Provincial People's Committee on directions and solutions to remove difficulties in compensation, resettlement support, site clearance, and accelerating the implementation of key and dynamic projects in the area.
For projects invested by the Central Government, the Steering Committee will closely coordinate with investors, design consultants, and supervisors to ensure progress.
The Steering Committee operates on a part-time basis, promotes personal responsibility, and operates according to regulations issued by the Head.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment is a standing agency, holding the role of a synthesis unit, advising on handling issues under its authority or submitting to the Provincial People's Committee to resolve issues beyond its authority, and at the same time advising on the establishment of a Working Group for effective implementation.
The establishment of the Steering Committee is expected to remove major obstacles in site clearance, contributing to accelerating the progress of key projects and driving the socio-economic development of Khanh Hoa.
