On January 6, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued a decision to establish the Khanh Hoa Smart City Development Coordination Council,
The establishment of the Council aims to meet the requirements of synchronous, unified and effective management, contributing to the implementation of the development goals of Khanh Hoa province to 2030.
The Coordination Council is chaired by the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Department of Construction play the role of Standing Vice Chairman; leaders of the Department of Science and Technology are Vice Chairmen of the Council.
The members include leaders of many departments, branches and related agencies such as: Finance, Home Affairs, Agriculture and Environment, Health, Education and Training, Culture, Sports and Tourism, Industry and Trade, Provincial Police, Provincial Military Command, Provincial People's Committee Office and Chairmen of People's Committees of wards and communes expected to form urban areas.
The Coordination Council is responsible for advising the Provincial People's Committee to direct and resolve important and inter-sectoral issues in the development, management and administration of smart cities in the province.
At the same time, research and propose orientations, solutions, mechanisms, and policies to effectively implement smart city development projects and plans, ensuring synchronization, unity, and compliance with legal regulations and local practical conditions.
The Coordination Council is also responsible for guiding and coordinating the People's Committees of wards and communes that are eligible to build roadmaps and smart city development plans for the period 2026-2030 and specific annual tasks...
In addition, the Coordination Council shall implement investment promotion activities, mobilize resources outside the state budget; strengthen dialogue and cooperation, and attract economic sectors to participate in investment and smart city development.
The establishment of the Coordination Council by the locality received the support of local people.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hung - a resident of Nha Trang ward said that the province's establishment of the Smart City Development Coordination Council is a positive sign, showing the determination to implement methodically, with clear focal points, avoiding the situation where each sector does it in a different way.
