On January 15, at a regular press conference, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee informed about the progress of handling Louisiane Restaurant and Sailing Club Restaurant - two coastal food service business projects that have expired their land use rights according to regulations.
According to Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, based on current legal regulations, the authority to recover land and organize coercion for these cases belongs to the Chairman of Nha Trang Ward People's Committee.
The related units are Nha Trang Boating Club Joint Venture Company Limited (the unit managing and operating Sailing Club Restaurant) and Bien Xanh International Joint Stock Company (the unit related to Louisiane Restaurant).
Therefore, the implementation of steps to recover land and handle expired land use works is assigned to the Chairman of Nha Trang Ward People's Committee for consideration and decision according to his authority.
However, on December 8, 2025, the Australian Embassy in Vietnam continued to issue Official Dispatch No. 1106-2025 to the Provincial People's Committee and the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, expressing support for the maintenance of the operation of Nha Trang Swimming Club Joint Venture Co., Ltd., the unit currently trading Sailing Club Restaurant.
Previously, on December 1, 2025, Nha Trang Boating Club Joint Venture Co., Ltd. also sent a petition to the Provincial People's Committee and Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, requesting to extend the land use term to continue restaurant business operations.
Regarding this proposal, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has issued a document assigning the Department of Agriculture and Environment to preside over and coordinate with units including the Department of Finance, Department of Construction, Department of Justice, Khanh Hoa Provincial Tax Department and Nha Trang Ward People's Committee to comprehensively consider the proposed content of the enterprise and the diplomatic note of the Australian Embassy in Vietnam.
On that basis, the Department of Agriculture and Environment is assigned to draft documents and report to the Provincial Party Committee and People's Committee for submission to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee for consideration according to regulations.
Currently, the Department of Agriculture and Environment is in the process of seeking opinions from relevant agencies. After fully summarizing the opinions, the department will report to the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province for consideration and decision in accordance with legal regulations.
