On October 25, the People's Committee of Nha Trang Ward announced the reclamation of more than 2,369m2 of land used by Nha Trang Boating Club Joint Venture Company Limited in the area east of Tran Phu Street, Nha Trang Ward.
According to the announcement, the above land area belongs to plot No. 193, map sheet No. 104, located in the coastal area east of Tran Phu Street.
This land is being reclaimed due to the expiration of the State's land allocation and lease term, but the investor is not allowed to extend the use term, based on the 2024 Land Law.
The People's Committee of Nha Trang Ward requires businesses to handle assets attached to land and fully fulfill financial obligations throughout the process to hand over the site to the State.
According to regulations, investors have 24 months from the date of land lease expiration to dismantle and move assets on the land.
Currently, the above land is being used by Nha Trang Boating Club Joint Venture Company Limited as a coastal restaurant.
In the adjacent beach area, businesses have arranged umbrellas, tables, chairs and bars to serve tourists, located next to the Sailing Club Nha Trang restaurant - a famous location on Tran Phu street.
Previously, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province directed the review and re-evaluation of land management and use in the area east of Tran Phu - Pham Van Dong road, in which many plots of land have expired or are not used for the right purpose.
The land recovery is to ensure the management and exploitation of coastal land funds in accordance with legal regulations, serving sustainable urban development and tourism.
In October 2025, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province assigned departments and branches to review and evaluate the land use situation, especially the land plots east of Tran Phu - Pham Van Dong road.
Among them, many areas have expired land use, to ensure the management and exploitation of coastal land funds in accordance with legal regulations.
According to the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province, this review is carried out on the basis of urban design ideas and the plan to rearrange works in the area east of Tran Phu - Pham Van Dong road, which have been approved by the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee since 2023.
This idea aims to renovate and create open space and coastal parks, ensuring harmony between tourism - service development and people's access to the sea.
The Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee said that he will revoke projects that have expired such as: Lousiane, Sailling Club... to call for investment in new projects.
