On August 27, Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee coordinated with relevant units to organize the groundbreaking ceremony of the first social housing project in the province at De Tham New Urban Area, Thuc Phan ward.
Attending on the side of the Ministry of Public Security and central ministries and sectors were Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security; leaders of Departments directly under the Ministry of Public Security and the Border Guard Command.
On the provincial side, there were Mr. Phan Thang An - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Le Hai Hoa - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; along with leaders of departments, branches, and localities.
The Golden Square Cao Bang project is invested by Dong A Golden Square Joint Stock Company - a member of Alphanam Group - with an area of about 1.2ha.
The project includes 2 towers in a common base block, 15 floors high, with a total floor area of nearly 69,700m2.
After completion, the project is expected to provide about 698 apartments, with areas from 68.9-76.6m2, including 2-3 bedrooms. This is a source of housing aimed at low-income people, officials, civil servants, public employees, armed forces and workers in the area.
The project is also invested in an internal traffic system, water supply and drainage, electricity, green trees, parking lots and community utilities. The project is expected to be implemented from the third quarter of 2026 to the second quarter of 2028.
Golden Square Cao Bang is included in the province's plan to develop about 1,500 social housing units in the period 2026-2030.
To increase supply, Cao Bang has approved a list of 7 land plots for social housing development with a total area of about 13.34ha in Thuc Phan and Nung Tri Cao wards.
The province is continuing to complete procedures for planning, land, infrastructure and site clearance, creating conditions to implement more social housing projects in the near future.
