Director of the Da Nang City Land Fund Development Center, Mr. Vo Nguyen Chuong, said that to ensure progress, a specific roadmap has been outlined, Da Nang will start construction of the first resettlement area on August 19, 2025 in Dien Ban Bac commune.
This project belongs to the Sub-project for compensation, support and resettlement to serve the high-speed railway project on the North - South axis from Thu Bon River to the North to the end of Da Nang city border. The resettlement area construction project in Dien Ban Bac ward has an area of about 46,995.52m2. Including leveling, traffic, drainage, rainwater drainage, wastewater drainage, water supply, electricity supply, trees, lighting, fire prevention and fighting, communication... Implementation period is from 2025 - 2027.
It is known that the North - South high-speed railway project through Da Nang city is more than 116km long, passing through 24 communes and wards, starting at Hai Van ward and ending at Nui Thanh commune. The route runs along the North-South Expressway in the East and the Da Nang - Quang Ngai Expressway. It is expected that to implement this railway project, more than 843 hectares of land will need to be reclaimed, affecting about 2,139 households with a need for more than 3,100 resettlement plots.
From September to November 2025, the survey and statistics on the current status of affected land, assets and people will be conducted. The counting, compensation payment and resettlement arrangement phase will start from March 2026, with the goal of completing all site clearance before December 2026 to hand over to the construction contractor.
