Two industrial parks create growth momentum
In mid-July, the atmosphere in Gia Phu commune became bustling when information about the deployment of two large-scale industrial parks received attention from the people.
According to reporters' records on July 10, Gia Phu possesses many advantages for industrial development.
The locality is located next to the Noi Bai - Lao Cai expressway, conveniently connected to the province's international border gates, and also has a relatively complete inter-regional transportation system, creating favorable conditions for goods transportation and investment attraction.

Many people hope that the projects will create a major shift in jobs and income.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hoan (Gia Phu commune) shared that many young workers in the locality are still having to work in industrial parks in other provinces. If industrial parks are put into operation soon, workers will have more opportunities to work right near their homes, reduce living costs and have conditions to take care of their families.
According to the Lao Cai Provincial Economic Zone Management Board, the province has approved the investment policy and at the same time approved Linh Linh Industrial Joint Stock Company as the investor to implement the Project to invest in construction and business of Phu Xuan Industrial Park and Phu Xuan 1 Industrial Park infrastructure.

The two projects have a total area of about 500ha, with a total registered investment capital of 5,462 billion VND. Of which, Phu Xuan Industrial Park is 300ha wide with a total investment capital of 3,277 billion VND; Phu Xuan 1 Industrial Park is 200ha wide, with a total investment capital of 2,185 billion VND.
According to the orientation, industrial parks will develop according to the eco-industrial park model, with synchronous investment in technical infrastructure, connecting transportation and aiming to attract high-tech industries, deep mineral processing using clean technology, mechanical engineering, electronics...
Accelerate progress to soon start construction
It is known that the investor has signed a contract for surveying and mapping about 100ha belonging to Phu Xuan Industrial Park and is expected to complete it in July.
In parallel with that, compensation, site clearance and resettlement support for about 100ha in Cu Ha and Pheo villages are being implemented.
For the remaining area, the measurement is expected to be completed in the third quarter. The investor is also surveying terrain and geology to prepare a feasibility study report and basic design.

According to the plan, the locality will organize people's meetings, announce projects and investors, propagate compensation policies, support land recovery, inventory assets and complete legal procedures, striving to start the project on National Day September 2nd.
At a recent meeting on project implementation progress, Vice Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee Phan Trung Ba assessed that this is a project of strategic significance, contributing to expanding the industrial development space, creating jobs, increasing budget revenue and promoting socio-economic development of the locality.
Leaders of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments and branches to urgently complete procedures on planning, construction, environment, electricity, water and transportation; the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board and the Department of Agriculture and Environment closely coordinate with localities and investors to remove difficulties in the implementation process.

For Gia Phu commune, Lao Cai province requests the establishment of a commune-level Project Management Board to coordinate in implementing compensation and site clearance work, strengthen propaganda to people, and develop detailed plans according to each time milestone to ensure progress.
It is expected that when put into operation, the two industrial parks will create jobs for about 15,000-20,000 workers, increase budget revenue and promote economic restructuring, becoming a new driving force for local growth.
