On the morning of June 7, within the framework of the 2026 Excellent Worker Skills Contest in the electronics industry, the Da Nang City Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) organized the awarding of 20 gifts to union members and workers suffering from dangerous diseases and occupational diseases. Each gift is worth 2 million VND.
These are meaningful gifts from the program "Gifts from the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress" for union members and workers suffering from dangerous diseases and occupational diseases in difficult circumstances in Da Nang city.
According to Resolution No. 13/NQ-ĐCT, the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor decided to allocate 100 billion VND from trade union financial sources to provide long-term care for union members and workers suffering from dangerous diseases and occupational diseases.
In which, the funding for the program "Gifts from the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress" supports from 1 million VND to 2 million VND for each circumstance, depending on the disease status and actual difficulty level.
In Da Nang, through surveys and summaries from trade union levels, the whole city has 915 union members and workers suffering from dangerous diseases and occupational diseases receiving support from this program, with a total estimated cost of nearly 1.2 billion VND.
On the same day, the Da Nang City Labor Federation organized a delegation to visit, encourage and give gifts to 5 children who are children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances living in self-managed worker groups in boarding houses in Lien Chieu and Hai Van wards. Each gift was worth 2 million VND.
This is a practical activity on the occasion of the Action Month for Children, showing the concern and companionship of the Trade Union organization for the children of workers.
