Lam Dong is slow to implement social housing projects

Lam Dong - There are 13 plots of land planned for social housing construction projects in the province, but only 1 project has been approved for investment.

On March 29, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee issued a document (No. 2485/UBND-XD) on urgent reporting and proposing contents related to the implementation of social housing projects in the province.

According to the Department of Construction of Lam Dong province, the province has planned 13 land plots for social housing development, mainly within the zoning plan projects.

Of which, in Da Lat city there are 12 locations and Bao Loc city has 1 location. However, to date, only 1 of the 13 projects has been approved by the Provincial People's Committee for investment policy to implement the next steps.

Therefore, to have sufficient conditions to call for investment in social housing development projects, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee requests the People's Committees of Da Lat and Bao Loc cities to urgently focus on speeding up the progress of preparation, approval, and adjustment of planning levels.

This includes general urban planning, zoning planning, and detailed planning for locations where social housing development has been planned. This is to ensure conditions as a basis for organizing investment calling and selecting investors to implement the project according to regulations.

At land fund locations where social housing development planning has been approved, localities assess the current status of land use, land acquisition capacity, and favorable conditions.

Including connecting with technical infrastructure systems, social infrastructure... in accordance with the living and working needs of beneficiaries of social housing policies stipulated in the Housing Law 2023.

Localities urgently implement the procedures for proposing investment projects to submit for approval of investment policies; organize the preparation, appraisal and proposal of State budget funding for compensation and site clearance.

In particular, localities propose State budget funding to organize the creation of clean land funds as a basis for organizing investor selection according to regulations.
