In Long Bien district, the district leader said that currently, there are 10 social housing projects in the area that have been completed and put into use with 4,038 apartments. In addition, 4 social housing projects have been approved by the city in principle and are preparing to be implemented with 8,934 apartments and 712,429m2 of floor space.
After 2025, there will continue to be a number of social housing projects in the district expected to be implemented such as: Social housing area at planning block C.6/NO12, Giang Bien ward; Social housing area at NO-XH2 land plot in Saigon B Industrial Park Support Urban Area, Thach Ban ward; Social housing construction investment project at CT land plot under planning block CT1 of the land technical infrastructure investment project to auction land use rights in Long Bien ward; Social housing construction investment project at planning block C14/NO1 of Phuc Dong ward.
In Dong Anh district, the Hanoi People's Committee requested to urgently complete the work of establishing investment projects, implementing designs, striving to start construction of 2 construction investment projects, Tien Duong 1 Social Housing Area and Tien Duong 2 Social Housing Area in September 2025. Relevant units focus on speeding up the progress of investment and construction, implementing procedures according to the "green channel", shortening processing time for work procedures.
In addition, the Hanoi People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to carefully study the content of the draft Resolution of the National Assembly on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for social housing development for 3 projects: Concentrated social housing area in Dai Mach commune, Dong Anh district and Tien Phong commune, Me Linh district; Co Bi commune, Gia Lam district; at plot C1-5 of the Urban Zoning Plan S5 in Ngoc Hoi, Dai Ang, Lien Ninh communes, Thanh Tri district and Khanh Ha commune, Thuong Tin district.
In the 2021-2024 period, Hanoi has completed 13 social housing projects (10 projects have been fully completed and 3 projects have been partially completed), with 11,334 apartments. From now until 2030, Hanoi must complete 44,866 more units, and in 2025 alone, 4,670 units will be completed.
According to the report of the Hanoi People's Committee, it is expected that in 2025, 9 more projects with 4,866 apartments will be completed, striving to achieve the target assigned by the Prime Minister.
