On March 6, the People's Committee of Lam Dong province worked with the Department of Construction and localities on the implementation of tasks and solutions for social housing development in the province in 2026.
Mr. Nguyen Hong Hai, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, chaired the working session.

According to the target assigned by the Government, in the period 2021–2030, Lam Dong province must complete 15,000 social housing units. To date, the whole province has completed 1,894 units in the period 2021–2025; in the period 2026–2030, it is necessary to continue deploying 13,106 units. In 2026 alone, the province sets a target of completing 1,857 units.
Currently, the whole province has 4 social housing projects under construction with a total scale of 2,063 units, including projects: Ham Kiem I, Ham Kiem II Industrial Park social housing; Phu Hoi social housing and An Son social housing project serving resettlement in Da Lat.
It is expected that from now until June 2026, 150 units of the Ham Kiem I social housing project will be completed.

In addition, the work of planning and allocating land funds for social housing development continues to be reviewed and supplemented to implement projects.
In the Da Lat area, about 18.39ha of land has been allocated for social housing development; Phan Thiet area is planned for about 306.85ha; and Dak Nong (old) area is about 3,556ha.
The province is also reviewing commercial housing projects to allocate 20% of the land fund for social housing development, with an expected scale of about 4,000 units.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai requested the Department of Construction to closely coordinate with departments, branches and localities to continue reviewing land funds, complete investment procedures, and remove obstacles for social housing projects.

At the same time, urge investors to focus resources, accelerate construction progress, and ensure the completion of social housing development targets in 2026 and the following years.
Regarding social housing for military and police forces, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee proposed to continue to propose increasing the number of units so that more officers and soldiers in need can access it.
Mr. Nguyen Hong Hai also requested localities to proactively support businesses in site clearance, infrastructure completion and procedures related to planning and land management. Thereby, creating favorable conditions for social housing projects to be implemented on schedule.
The implementation of the above goals is expected to contribute to meeting the housing needs of workers and policy beneficiaries in the province.
