That is a fairly new regulation of Ca Mau province. This regulation applies to all cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers working in state agencies. The regulation does not distinguish between working at the commune or provincial level.
To receive support for social housing policies, the following conditions must be met: Meet the conditions for buying and renting social housing according to Clause 1, Article 78 of the Housing Law, except for the condition of not having a house of one's own in the province or centrally run city where there is a social housing construction investment project.
The house you are currently living in must be outside the radius of 20km from the working location and is the only house you are currently living in Ca Mau province.
The location of a social housing project that can be purchased or rented must be within a radius of 15km from the working location.
Regarding the development of social housing, according to Decision No. 444/QD-TTg dated February 27, 2025 of the Prime Minister, Ca Mau province is assigned the target of completing 4,800 social housing units by 2030.
Before the merger, the old Ca Mau province conducted a survey and recorded more than 2,000 people in need of social housing. Meanwhile, Bac Lieu province before the merger also had a plan to develop social housing with a project list in 5 localities, however, up to now, no project has been implemented.
Mr. Du Minh Hung - Director of the Department of Construction of Ca Mau province - said that after the newly put into operation of Ca Mau province, the government has continued to survey the demand for social housing and is in the process of synthesizing data.
Currently, the Department of Construction has not received applications for buying, renting or leasing social housing in the province because no project has met the conditions. When a project meets all the requirements according to regulations, the Department will publish official information on the Electronic Information Portal.
Ca Mau is implementing a number of social housing projects in An Xuyen ward: Dream House project with a scale of 945 townhouses, and an urban area project combined with social housing with a total area of nearly 23 hectares in Tan Xuyen residential area.
