According to Lao Dong, along the coast of Da Nang, especially the My Khe beach area, Son Tra has recently witnessed a wave of new, vibrant hotel and resort construction.
Not only domestic investors, many international corporations are also promoting their presence here with 4-5 star hotel projects, targeting the segment of international guests and high-end domestic guests.
Mr. Tran Quang Hung (born in 1974) - hotel manager on Vo Nguyen Giap Street, Son Tra District - said that recently, there have been at least 4-5 new projects under construction around the hotel under his management.
Among them, there is a project to build a high-rise hotel just a few hundred meters from the beach. The frequency of trucks, cranes and workers coming in and out is almost continuous.
According to Mr. Hung, the appearance of new projects shows that investors still believe in the tourism potential of Da Nang, especially the My Khe coastal area, which is a destination that attracts international and domestic tourists.
"The wave of coastal hotel construction in recent times is a positive signal for the tourism industry. However, it must also be recognized that the competition of the tourism and resort industry in the coming time will be more fierce, forcing coastal hotels in Da Nang to continuously upgrade their services and improve the experience to retain customers" - Mr. Hung said.

Information from real estate services agency Avison Young recently said that Da Nang currently has 20,466 4- and 5-star hotel rooms, ranking 2nd in the country after Khanh Hoa province (25,565 rooms), the next localities are Kien Giang, Quang Nam, Quang Ninh, Binh Thuan.
Despite abundant supply, the coastal real estate market (hotels, resorts, condotel) has been continuously supplemented with new rooms, especially in the 4-star segment.
Avison Young also predicted that the coastal tourism real estate market is showing signs of recovery after several years of stagnation. It is forecasted that in the next 3 years, the supply of coastal hotels and resorts will continue to increase, most concentrated in Da Nang and Ba Ria - Vung Tau.
Many economic experts believe that expanding international routes in 2025 will not only help Da Nang increase the number of domestic and international visitors, but also be a key factor in the development strategy and expansion of the coastal hotel - resort ecosystem.
Recently, Emirates - the world's leading international airline officially operated the Dubai - Da Nang route with a frequency of 4 flights per week from June 2, 2025, welcoming high-end international visitors and new potential tourist markets from the Middle East to Da Nang, contributing to promoting tourism, while opening up cooperation opportunities in the fields of trade, investment and cultural exchange.
