On September 4, information from the People's Committee of Lang Son province said that the province has just approved the investment policy for the riverside park project in Dong Kinh ward, with a total capital of nearly 397 billion VND from the provincial budget for the period 2026-2030.
The project is located on the banks of the Ky Cung River, stretching from Dong Kinh Bridge to Campus 3, Lang Son College.
The project has a land use area of about 3.56 ha, managed by the Lang Son Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board.
According to the approved plan, the park will have a yard, natural stone pavement, coffee service area, lawns and a green tree system. Art miniatures and typical cultural symbols of Lang Son are also arranged in the campus.
Technical infrastructure includes lighting systems, decorative lights, outdoor sound, rest chairs and rainwater drainage. Rainwater is collected through seepage ditches, combined with drainage into the river.
The project is expected to form a public space to serve people to play, rest, walk and exercise; and at the same time open an area to provide civil services.
The park will also create a landscape highlight for the west bank of the Ky Cung River, connecting urban space around Dong Kinh bridge and Cua Nam bridge.
The project is prepared for investment in 2026 and construction is deployed from 2027 to 2029. The project belongs to group B, level IV technical infrastructure.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board to carry out the next procedures. The Departments of Finance, Agriculture and Environment, and Construction are responsible for inspecting and supervising the implementation process.
