Lang Son - The Ben Bac bridge project is about 128 m long, connecting Tam Thanh and Luong Van Tri wards, contributing to reducing the load on Ky Cung bridge.

On August 13, information from the People's Committee of Lang Son province said that the province has decided to approve the investment policy for the Ben Bac bridge construction project, with a total investment of more than 154 billion VND.

The project was built in Luong Van Tri ward and Tam Thanh ward.

The entire project is about 258 m long, including a bridge of 128 m long and approach roads at both ends of the bridge of about 130 m. The length, location and specific rationale will be determined during the preparation of the feasibility study report and construction drawing design.

Ben Bac bridge has a total width of 12 m, of which the bridge deck is 11 m wide, arranged with two lanes, sidewalks for pedestrians and a system of railings.

The approach roads at both ends of the bridge are invested according to street collection standards, the roadbed is 13.5 m wide.

The project belongs to group C, using public investment capital from the provincial budget in the period 2026-2030.

Preparation work will be carried out in 2026; the project implementation phase will last until 2028.

According to Lang Son Provincial People's Committee, Ben Bac bridge is built to meet the increasing travel needs of people in two wards located on both sides of the Ky Cung River.

The project will increase the connectivity of densely populated areas in Tam Thanh ward, including Ben Bac urban area, Nam Hoang Dong urban area, with Luong Van Tri ward.

When completed, the bridge is expected to shorten travel time, reduce traffic pressure for Ky Cung bridge in the provincial administrative center area, and increase connectivity between urban areas on both sides of the river.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Lang Son Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to complete the feasibility study report and submit it to competent authorities for consideration and investment decision according to regulations.

According to PV's investigation, currently, in the urban area of Lang Son, there are 4 bridges spanning the Ky Cung River, including: Ky Cung Bridge, Dong Kinh Bridge, Thac Ma Bridge and 17/10 Bridge.

In June 2026, Lang Son Provincial People's Committee also approved the investment policy for the Cua Nam bridge construction project, a project located in Luong Van Tri and Dong Kinh wards.
