On July 8, Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to listen to the Economic Zone Management Board and departments, branches, localities and investors report on the progress of the Phu Xuan Industrial Park and Phu Xuan 1 Industrial Park infrastructure construction and business investment project in Gia Phu commune.
According to the Lao Cai Provincial Economic Zone Management Board, the Provincial People's Committee has approved the investment policy and at the same time approved Linh Linh Industrial Joint Stock Company as the investor to implement the two projects.
The two projects have a total planned area of 500 ha with a total registered investment capital of 5,462 billion VND. In which, Phu Xuan Industrial Park has a scale of 300 ha, total investment capital of 3,277 billion VND; Phu Xuan 1 Industrial Park has an area of 200 ha, total investment capital of 2,185 billion VND.
To date, the enterprise has signed a contract for surveying and mapping about 100 hectares of Phu Xuan Industrial Park, expected to be completed and approved in July.

At the same time, the investor has coordinated to implement compensation, site clearance, and resettlement support for about 100 hectares in Cu Ha and Pheo villages, Gia Phu commune.
For the remaining area, the measurement work is expected to be completed in the third quarter. The investor is also deploying terrain and geological surveys to prepare feasibility study reports and basic design.
According to the plan, the locality will organize people's meetings, announce projects and investors, propagate compensation policies, support land recovery, inventory assets, complete legal procedures and strive to organize the groundbreaking ceremony and project commencement on National Day September 2.
Vice Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee Phan Trung Ba emphasized that this is a project of strategic significance, contributing to expanding the industrial development space, creating jobs, increasing budget revenue and promoting socio-economic development of the province.
Leaders of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee requested departments and agencies to urgently complete procedures related to planning, construction, environment, electricity, water, transportation and design appraisal.
The Economic Zone Management Board and the Department of Agriculture and Environment are assigned to regularly coordinate with localities and investors to promptly remove difficulties and guide the correct implementation of regulations.


For Gia Phu commune, the Provincial People's Committee requested the establishment of a commune-level Project Management Board to coordinate in implementing compensation and site clearance work; strengthen propaganda, develop detailed plans according to each time milestone, and clearly assign responsibilities to each unit to ensure progress.
Leaders of the Provincial People's Committee also requested Linh Linh Industrial Joint Stock Company to continue to closely coordinate with functional agencies and localities, accelerate the remaining tasks, and fully prepare the conditions to start construction of the two industrial parks according to the plan.
