In the afternoon of July 7, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Sinh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Organization Committee of the Investment Promotion Conference of Lao Cai province, Head of the Logistics Sub-committee chaired a meeting to review the progress of service deployment.
According to the report, the tasks according to the plan of the Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee are being implemented on schedule. The Logistics and Protocol Sub-committee focuses on preparing a meeting program between provincial leaders and corporations, businesses and domestic and foreign investors; ensuring logistics and protocol for the conference and sideline activities; coordinating to organize a seminar "Opening up resources - Innovation"; and at the same time developing a plan to ensure electricity supply to serve the entire event chain.
Up to now, the Sub-Committee has completed the draft invitation letter, advised on the composition of delegates, and coordinated with departments, branches and the Department of Foreign Affairs to confirm the list of domestic and international guests.
According to the plan, the Lao Cai Province Investment Promotion Conference 2026 and related activities will welcome about 1,300 delegates, including about 390 delegates in the province and more than 900 delegates outside the province.
The work of arranging accommodation facilities, arranging seats, nameplates, reception plans and assigning forces to support delegates has also been basically completed.
At the meeting, members of the Sub-committee reported on the progress of implementing many key tasks such as the plan to welcome central delegates and international guests; supporting entry and exit procedures; arranging English and Chinese interpreters; mobilizing reception service forces; developing reception scripts at sideline activity locations; ensuring safe and continuous power supply throughout the conference.
Concluding, the Vice Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee requested members of the Sub-committee and the Working Group to continue to uphold the spirit of responsibility and urgently complete the assigned tasks.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Sinh proposed to soon review and update the list of guests, especially business associations; complete the plan to arrange accommodation for delegates; and carefully prepare reception rooms to serve central and provincial leaders.
To improve operational efficiency, the Logistics and Protocol Sub-committee is divided into three working groups. Each group is responsible for developing detailed plans, clearly assigning people and tasks, proactively mobilizing forces and thoroughly grasping tasks before the conference takes place.
The Vice Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee also requested Lao Cai Power Company to continue to review and complete the plan to ensure safe and stable power supply, serving the 2026 Lao Cai Provincial Investment Promotion Conference and related activities.
The Lao Cai Provincial Investment Promotion Conference 2026 is expected to take place on July 16 and 17. Regarding the seminar "Lao Cai - A place of convergence of Northwest colors" co-organized by the Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee and Lao Dong Newspaper, the list of delegates to attend has now been completed with about 80 - 100 people.
