On July 8, at Viet Trung Mineral and Metallurgy Co., Ltd., Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation organized a program to award 35 sets of English reading and learning markers and a set of digital technology books to children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
Attending were Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Nhiem - Chairwoman of the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation; representatives of leaders of Tang Loong commune, businesses, and a large number of union members, workers, and students who are children of union members.
At the program, representatives of Viet Trung Mineral and Metallurgy Co., Ltd. informed about the production and business situation and activities to care for workers' lives.
In recent years, businesses have coordinated with trade union organizations to regularly implement programs to support workers' children such as visiting students in difficult circumstances, commending them for their high academic achievements, contributing to encouraging workers to feel secure in sticking with the business.
Speaking at the program, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Nhiem acknowledged and praised the efforts of the Trade Union of Viet Trung Mineral and Metallurgy Co., Ltd. in caring for union members and workers.
According to the Chairman of the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation, the gifts not only help children have more conditions to access modern English learning methods and improve foreign language skills, but also show the concern and companionship of the trade union organization for union members and workers' families.
The activity is part of a series of programs to respond to the Action Month for Children in 2026, contributing to creating motivation for union members' children to overcome difficulties and rise up in their studies, and at the same time helping workers feel secure in working, producing and long-term attachment to businesses.
