On October 23, the Department of Planning and Investment of Long An province issued a notice to stop selecting investors to implement two social housing projects (9.62ha) and one social housing project (9.53ha) both in Duc Hoa Dong commune, Duc Hoa district, Long An province. Along with that, it canceled the notices inviting investors to submit registration documents to implement these two social housing projects that were previously issued.
Reason: Implement according to the provisions of Article 73 of Decree No. 115/2024/ND-CP dated September 16, 2024 of the Government detailing a number of articles and measures to implement the Law on Bidding on selecting investors to implement investment projects using land.
In addition, the People's Committee of Long An province has also issued a document agreeing to stop selecting investors for 2 projects: Social housing area (9.53ha) and Social housing area (9.62ha) in Duc Hoa Dong commune, Duc Hoa district, Long An province. On the other hand, the People's Committee of Long An province has also issued a decision to cancel the decision on approving the invitation for interest documents for the 2 above-mentioned projects.
The Department of Planning and Investment of Long An province will review the invitation for expression of interest documents to ensure compliance with the decision approving the investment policy and advise the People's Committee of Long An province to consider and apply the process and procedures to carry out the next steps in accordance with the provisions of the law on investment, land, bidding, and other relevant laws.
Previously, in July 2024, the Department of Planning and Investment of Long An issued a notice inviting interested investors to submit applications to implement the above two projects. According to the notice at that time, the investment scale of both projects had a population of more than 14,780 people. The scale of construction of high-rise housing with a number of more than 5,890 apartments. The total investment capital of both projects is more than 7,640 billion VND; of which, the cost of compensation, support, and resettlement is more than 614 billion VND. The project's operating period is 50 years.
