5 years waiting for 10-lane road, capital of nearly 1,500 billion VND in Hanoi
HỮU CHÁNH |
Hanoi - Construction started in 2019 and was expected to be completed after 2 years, but to date, the project to build Tay Thang Long road, more than 3km long and costing nearly 1,500 billion VND, is still unfinished.
In 2019, Hanoi started the Tay Thang Long Road Construction Project (section from Pham Van Dong Street to Van Tien Dung Street, Bac Tu Liem District), with a total investment of nearly 1,500 billion VND.
According to the plan, the route is about 3.2km long, with a cross-section of 60.5m and 10 lanes, passing through Co Nhue 2 and Minh Khai wards. A bridge will be built across the Nhue River.
At the time of commencement, the Hanoi People's Committee assessed that the investment in the construction of the Tay Thang Long route (from Pham Van Dong to Van Tien Dung) was a next step in completing the Tay Thang Long route according to the planning, contributing to the completion of the framework traffic system, promoting the development of urban infrastructure and socio-economic development of Bac Tu Liem district and Hanoi capital.
According to the original plan, the project would be completed and put into use in 2021. Up to now, 3 years have passed the deadline, but the project has only reached about 50% progress and there is no completion date yet.
Lao Dong's investigation shows that the main reason for the project's delay is due to many difficulties and problems in site clearance.
Up to now, there are still hundreds of households whose residential land was confiscated in Co Nhue 2 ward that have not agreed to hand over the land to the project. People believe that the compensation price for residential land is not satisfactory, not enough to buy resettlement houses arranged by the State.
Currently, Bac Tu Liem district is coordinating with relevant departments and branches to focus on removing obstacles to soon complete site clearance and speed up project progress.
Hanoi is focusing on clearing the ground to complete the second section and is about to invest in building the fourth section of the 33km-long Tay Thang Long axis road, connecting Tay Ho with Son Tay.
Hanoi - Ring Road 4 is gradually taking shape next to the auctioned land lot worth over 100 million VND/m2, 14 times the starting price in Tien Yen commune, Hoai Duc district.
Hanoi - Difficulties in applying regulations when determining land origin, price differences between departure and arrival... are hindering the progress of site clearance for the Ring Road 4 project.
