The Cat Tuong Smart City social housing project was visited by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in July 2023. Here, the Prime Minister requested that Bac Ninh province be used as a model for social housing development and replicated nationwide.
According to records, the project has a total area of 9.4 hectares, located 200 m from Yen Phong Industrial Park, about 600 m from National Highway 18, 10 km from Bac Ninh city, 19 km from Noi Bai airport and 30 km from Hanoi city center.
The total investment of the project is more than 1,778 billion VND, with synchronous social infrastructure with full amenities such as green parks, regulating lakes, gym - yoga centers, shopping centers, general hospitals, inter-level schools, restaurant systems, hotels, and smart parking lots.
According to the investor, this sale will have 400 apartments, priced from 15.6 - 16.3 million VND/m2.
The first sale of 198 apartments was held at the end of May 2024, and customers registered to buy all of them within just 10 days.
Bac Ninh province currently has about 400,000 workers working in 12 concentrated industrial parks.
The implementation of social housing projects, solving the need for "settling down and working" for workers and low-income people, has helped Bac Ninh become the leading locality in the country in developing social housing.
A recent report from the Ministry of Construction said that Bac Ninh has completed and is working on 31 social housing projects, with 22,000 apartments. The locality has set a short-term goal of completing about 21,000 apartments by 2025.
