Currently, in Bac Tan Uyen district, there are 3 operating industrial parks (Dat Quoc industrial park, Tan Binh industrial park, VSIP II industrial park) and VSIP III industrial park is under construction.
To develop industry and attract investors, Binh Duong province approved a plan to build 8 more industrial clusters and 6 industrial parks in Bac Tan Uyen district with a total area of 3,356 hectares.
In Tan Dinh commune, 5 industrial clusters will be built, in Tan My commune, 3 industrial clusters will be built with a total area of 582 hectares.
Regarding industrial zones, in Binh My commune, Bac Tan Uyen 1 industrial zone will be opened with an area of 591 hectares and Bac Tan Uyen 4 industrial zone with an area of 770 hectares. In Tan Lap commune, Tan Lap I industrial zone will be opened with an area of 200 hectares, Bac Tan Uyen 2 industrial zone with an area of 425 hectares and Bac Tan Uyen 3 industrial zone with an area of 288 hectares. In Tan My commune, Bac Tan Uyen 5 industrial zone will be built with an area of 500 hectares.
To develop industry, Bac Tan Uyen will also build new logistics centers and dry ports connecting to Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 4 and Long Thanh airport.
According to the Binh Duong Industrial Parks Management Board, up to now, industrial parks in Binh Duong have leased 7,080 hectares of industrial land, with an occupancy rate of 93.77%.
According to records, the smallest industrial park in Binh Duong is Binh Duong Industrial Park (Di An city) with 16.5 hectares established in 1993. Bau Bang Industrial Park (Bau Bang district) is the largest industrial park with 2,000 hectares put into operation in 2015.
