On September 29, the Nha Trang ward government is completing legal documents before reclaiming an area of 1,800m2 of land at the Ana Mandara Resort project located along Tran Phu beach.

Thus, after reclaiming the above area of 1,800m2, up to now, the government has reclaimed the entire area of more than 28,000m2 of Tran Phu beach of Ana Mandara Resort project.
Ana Mandara Resort is located on Tran Phu Street, built in 1995. The investor of this project is Sovico Khanh Hoa Company Limited.
The location of the resort is along the coast of Nha Trang - a place with prime land, convenient for tourism activities, welcoming international visitors.

By 2010, Khanh Hoa province had a policy of reclaiming over 28,000m2 of non-agricultural production and business land and 10,000m2 of sea surface of Ana Mandara project to return the coastline to serve the community.
Although the local policy of land acquisition has been in place since 2010, after many stages with different reasons, this project has not been able to hand over the land.

On the side of Khanh Hoa provincial government, the land use period has been extended many times so that the investor of Ana Mandara Resort project can plan to relocate assets and develop a plan to welcome new guests.
Since June 2022, Sovico Khanh Hoa Company Limited has stopped receiving visitors at Tran Phu Street and dismantled the items and relocated operations to the Evason Ana Mandara Resort & Spa Project at the Northern Cam Ranh Peninsula Tourist Area.
Meanwhile, according to the orientation in the Nha Trang City Master Plan adjustment Project to 2040, this area will be organized with public service points with a maximum construction density of 5%, interspersed in the park space to provide services and utilities for beach users, park users, increase liveliness and frequency of park use.

There was an idea to renovate Ana Mandara Resort into a "sea village"
In 2023, the Standing Committee of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee approved the urban design idea for the area east of Tran Phu and Pham Van Dong streets in Nha Trang City (old).
The design plan is determined to serve public purposes, combine services with moderate construction density... and ensure the general planning orientation of Nha Trang City until 2040.
Notably, among the design ideas was the "Nha Trang beach village" scene.
This area has the main colors of yellow, brown, white, belonging to zone 3, located on a 25,000m2 plot of land (construction area is 2,485m2).
According to the design idea, some works are retained and renovated, serving commerciality with no more than 5% of the construction density.
In addition, the design unit also aims to renovate it into a park, create an access to the sea and keep the trees as much as possible in their original state...
However, up to now, the idea of renovating Ana Mandara Resort into a "sea village" has not been mentioned by the locality.
