The People's Committee of Nha Trang Ward said that it has issued a notice to reclaim the land area under the right of use of Sovico Khanh Hoa Company Limited in the area east of Tran Phu Street, Nha Trang Ward.
The revocation is based on the provisions of Point c, Clause 1, Article 82 of the 2024 Land Law.
According to the announcement, the reclaimed area is 1,815m2, located in part of plot No. 11, map sheet No. 01 of Vinh Nguyen ward (old).

The reason for the revocation is that the land leased by the State for a term but not extended.
Mr. Tran Xuan Tay - Chairman of Nha Trang Ward People's Committee said that the land that the locality leased to Sovico Khanh Hoa Company Limited has expired.
However, according to regulations, investors have 24 months from the date of land lease expiration to dismantle and move assets on the land. After receiving the above land, the locality will handle it in accordance with regulations.
More than 20 years ago, Khanh Hoa province leased more than 28,000m2 of coastal land to Sovico Khanh Hoa Company Limited to build Ana Mandara resort, with the policy of later returning the sea surface to serve the community.
In early 2024, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee reclaimed 20,000m2 of land and the entire Ana Mandara resort area was relocated by the investor to Bai Dai area (Cam Lam district) to continue operations.
In mid-2024, Khanh Hoa province decided to adjust the land lease term to December 31, 2024 for the area of 8,023m2, based on Decision 1488 (2014) and Decision 2014 (2022).
Continuing to mid-2025, the enterprise has returned an additional 6,200m2 of land.
Thus, with the Nha Trang ward government reclaiming about 1,800m2 of land, the entire area of over 28,000m2 of Tran Phu beach was previously officially handed over to the locality for management.
Ana Mandara Resort is located on Tran Phu Street - a prime street in Nha Trang City (old), built in 1995.
In 2010, Khanh Hoa province had a policy to reclaim over 28,000m2 of non-agricultural production and business land and 10,000m2 of sea surface of Ana Mandara project to return the coastline to serve the community.
To carry out the relocation, Khanh Hoa province has assigned the investor of a resort of over 29 hectares of land in the Northern Peninsula of Cam Ranh Tourist Area (Cam Lam District) to build Ana Mandara Cam Ranh Complex. When the project is completed here, the investor will relocate the entire resort on Tran Phu Street.
