In 2 days, July 30 and 31, Phu Quoc Special Zone People's Committee (An Giang) organized a campaign and handled 13 cases subject to land recovery coercion. Thanks to doing a good job of propaganda, mobilization, public and transparent explanation of compensation, support and resettlement policies, 6 cases voluntarily complied with handing over the land to local authorities.
For the remaining cases that have not been agreed upon, functional forces will carry out land recovery coercion in accordance with the order and regulations of law to serve socio-economic development projects for national and public interests (such as Provincial Road Project DT. 975 and Mixed Urban Area Project - Bai Dat Do).
Since the beginning of the year, Phu Quoc special zone has issued a total of 489 decisions to sanction and recover land with a total area of more than 751.330m2 of land. In which, administrative sanctions were issued for 144 decisions with an area of nearly 507,000 m2; Coercive land recovery was issued for 345 decisions with an area of more than 247,000 m2 of land.
The above results show the great efforts of the Phu Quoc special zone authorities at all levels in restoring land management order. The harmonious combination of propaganda and mobilization of people to voluntarily comply with resolute coercive measures against intentional violations has contributed to accelerating the progress of site handover, soon putting key traffic and urban infrastructure projects into operation.
The active implementation of a series of drastic measures is also aimed at ensuring the strictness of the law, thoroughly handling violations and clearing ground for key projects in the area.
