Quang Ngai has 111 projects facing problems and prolonged backlogs. The province is supporting investors to remove difficulties.

On August 25, Mr. Tran Phuoc Hien - Vice Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee - chaired a meeting with departments, branches, units, localities and investors to listen to reports and give opinions on the progress and situation of removing difficulties and obstacles for backlog and prolonged projects in the province.

According to the report of the Department of Finance, based on the proposed opinions of agencies, units and localities, to date, the whole province has 111 projects facing difficulties, obstacles, and prolonged backlogs. Through review, there are 61 projects applying special mechanisms and policies in Resolution No. 29/2026/QH16 dated April 24, 2026 of the National Assembly and 50 projects under the province's self-handling authority (in addition to projects applying Resolution No. 29/2026/QH16 dated April 24, 2026 of the National Assembly).

For the group of 61 projects applied according to Resolution No. 29/2026/QH16, the Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 243/KH-UBND; which builds a roadmap, assigns specific tasks and determines the responsibilities of leaders of the Provincial People's Committee directly in charge of each field to focus on directing handling.

Currently, 24 projects have been allocated and leased land in its entirety; 17 projects have been allocated and leased land in their entirety; 20 projects have not been allocated or leased land. In the process of implementation, projects that meet the conditions according to regulations are prioritized for handling first, without waiting for handling many projects at the same time.

To date, the Department of Finance has fully received 61/61 proposal dossiers from investors, completed appraisal of 60 dossiers and guided investors to complete 1 dossier. As a result, the province has completed handling 28 projects and is focusing on handling the remaining 33 projects.

For the group of 50 projects under the province's handling authority, the Provincial People's Committee has issued Plan No. 313/KH-UBND to implement the removal of difficulties and obstacles. To date, the province has completed the handling of 16 projects; the remaining 34 projects are continuing to be handled according to the set plan.

Concluding the meeting, Mr. Tran Phuoc Hien requested investors to proactively review and calculate project implementation plans to ensure meeting the requirements, especially in terms of implementation progress; at the same time, strengthen coordination with local authorities to review planning and resolve procedures for land allocation and site handover.

Mr. Tran Phuoc Hien requested relevant departments, agencies, branches and localities to proactively review each project, strengthen coordination, and support investors in the implementation process. For difficulties and obstacles arising beyond their authority to resolve, units need to promptly report to the Provincial People's Committee or competent authorities for consideration and handling, not to delay and affect the progress of project implementation.
