On the Government Information Portal, Mr. T.V.C in Hai Phong reflected that after re-measuring, the land area of his house increased by 18 m2 compared to the old red book. The reason for the increase was confirmed by the Ward People's Committee to be due to incorrect measurements at the time of issuing the red book calculation.
Mr. C asked, if you issue red books for renewal, does your family have to pay taxes?
Regarding this issue, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment answers as follows:
Clause 2, Article 24 of Decree No. 101/2024/ND-CP of the Government stipulates the handling of issuing certificates of land use rights and ownership of assets attached to land for land plots with an increased area due to changes in boundaries compared to the issued certificate.
The consideration of issuing certificates in this case is carried out in accordance with the procedures specified in point VI, content C, part V of Appendix 01 issued together with Decree No. 151/2025/ND-CP of the Government.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Environment provides information for you to contact the Land Registration Office in your locality for specific guidance.
