According to this decision, Khanh Hoa province has adjusted all land types related to the type of "residential land not forming residential units" to "commercial, service and tourism land" in 3 decisions in 2013, 2015, 2017 for the Champa Island Nha Trang project.
At the same time, Khanh Hoa also abolished the management regulations for the type of "residential land not forming residential units" in the decisions in the above 3 years.
It is known that Champa Island Nha Trang has an area of nearly 62,000m2 on 2 adjacent islands. This project is located in the heart of Nha Trang city, with a prime location.
Here, the investor has built a chain of riverside restaurants, a 5-star hotel and many resort villas. In this area, there is a part of the land area of the type "residential land not forming residential units" granted by Khanh Hoa province for the investor to use and then build villas to sell to customers.
Later, the Central inspection agencies concluded that the type of "residential land not forming residential units" was not included in the Land Law, so Khanh Hoa province had to adjust it according to regulations.

In this list, there are 18 projects in the northern tourist area of Cam Ranh peninsula, the rest are concentrated in Nha Trang city.
In a recent press conference in October 2024, Mr. Nguyen Tan Tuan - Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee informed that Khanh Hoa province has basically completed handling 15 "residential land projects that do not form residential units".
As for projects that have been transferred to secondary investors, Khanh Hoa province currently has several directions for handling them, including waiting for a separate Resolution of the National Assembly based on the conclusion of the Politburo to resolve outstanding issues after inspection, examination, audit and court.
