On July 12, in Hanoi, the Central Party Committee of the Public Security, the Ministry of Public Security held a ceremony to award the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces to the Department of Foreign Security.
According to the Ministry of Public Security's Electronic Information Portal, on June 30, 2023, the Minister of Public Security signed a decision to determine July 12, 1946 as the Traditional Day of the People's Public Security Foreign Security Force.
This milestone has become a highlight of the Foreign Security Forces, associated with a journey full of feats and silent sacrifices on the national security defense front.
The achievements and contributions of the Foreign Security Forces in general and the Foreign Security Department in particular have been recognized, commended and highly appreciated by leaders of the Party, State, Ministry of Public Security and people; and awarded many noble awards. Notably, on January 3, 2025, the President signed a Decision to confer the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces to the Department of Foreign Security.
On behalf of the Central Party Committee of the Public Security, the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, General Luong Tam Quang - Minister of Public Security - acknowledged and commended the efforts and achievements that generations of leaders, officers and soldiers of the Department of Foreign Security have achieved over the past 79 years; at the same time, congratulated the Department of Foreign Security on being honored by the Party and State with the noble title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces.
At the ceremony, authorized by the leaders of the Party and State, Minister Luong Tam Quang respectfully attached the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces to the traditional flag and awarded the Certificate of Hero of the People's Armed Forces to the Department of Foreign Security.
