On the afternoon of July 10, the leader of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Monuments Conservation Center (under the Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa) confirmed that he had revoked the document sent to Khanh Ha Investment Joint Stock Company - the investor of Cau Da villa project (Nha Trang ward) regarding the use of Vong Nguyet villa as a public housing.
In the previous document, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Monuments Conservation Center will temporarily house 2 rooms at the Vong Nguyet villa of the Cau Da Villa Relic Site to accommodate Mr. Nguyen Van Linh - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Mr. Le Xuan Loi - Deputy Director of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Monuments Conservation Center.
These two officials both came from Ninh Thuan province (old) to Khanh Hoa to work.
However, after issuing the document, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Monuments Conservation Center found some shortcomings. Therefore, this unit has revoked the above document.

The revocation of the document is appropriate because currently, the cultural sector is finalizing the investment proposal for the Cau Da Villa Relic Restoration Project. In addition, the villas have not been renovated yet, so they do not meet the safety conditions for staff to live in.
Since the beginning of the year, the Cau Da Villa Monument Renovation Project has not been able to be implemented due to problems in dividing transport infrastructure and technical infrastructure in the overall Bao Dai High-end Resort project.
The implementation of these items in advance is to ensure that after the Cau Da Villa 5monument Renovation Project is completed and put into use, it can serve visitors.
Up to now, it has been more than 2 months but the above authorities have not yet completed the project according to the direction of the leaders of Khanh Hoa province
From this reality, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province has not been able to complete the Report Proposal for Investment policy for the Cau Da Villa 5 Relic Renovation Project, submit for appraisal and approval in accordance with regulations.
Resort project has been suspended for many years
In 2014, Khanh Hoa province decided to reclaim land used by Khanh Viet Corporation and allocate land with land use fees, land lease, and sea surface lease to Khanh Ha Investment Joint Stock Company to implement the Bao Dai Executive Resort project.
A year earlier, Khanh Hoa province issued the first investment registration certificate in 2013 to this enterprise with a total investment capital of 478 billion VND, land use area of about 136,633 m2.
The goal is to build 5-star villas and hotels, including resort villas for long-term lease or for sale (tourist villas not forming residential units).
From 2017 to present, the enterprise has stopped implementation to adjust the construction planning at a scale of 1/500 according to the direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province.
Regarding the 5 ancient villas in the project, the investor reported that Nghinh Phong Villa, Vong Nguyet, was repaired and completed in 2019.
Faced with the reality of many of the above villas being degraded and not being able to promote their value, Khanh Hoa province (in 2023) has decided to reclaim land for 5 relic villas at Bao Dai High-end Resort with a total reclaimed area of 9,209 m2.
