The project worth over VND2,800 billion is the Hai Phong City Political - Administrative Center
According to Resolution No. 60-NQ/TW dated April 12, 2025, the Party Central Committee plans to merge Hai Duong province and Hai Phong city, renaming it Hai Phong city. The headquarters located at the Hai Phong City Political - Administrative Center is being completed.
The Hai Phong City Political - Administrative Center project in the North of Cam River Urban Area was started on January 7, 2023, with a total investment of more than VND 2,831 billion (adjusted). The project is built on an area of about 13.63 hectares, including 14 blocks of symmetrical houses designed along the two axes of North - South and East - West. Of which, 4 blocks are 3-storey, 4 blocks are 4-storey, 4 blocks are 5-storey and 2 blocks are 15-storey.
The reason this project was chosen by located in Thuy Nguyen City, the intermediary location between Hai Phong City and Hai Duong Province. The East borders with the central urban center of Hai Phong, making the most of modern infrastructure and large industrial parks. The West connects directly to Hai Duong, helping to maintain the link between the two old central areas. The North borders Quang Ninh, has the potential to expand and link the region with one of the strongest economic centers in the North. The south is located near Hai Phong urban core area, both maintaining a connection with the seaport, while avoiding overloaded urban pressure.
Not to mention, Thuy Nguyen City has a strongly developed transportation system, modern urban infrastructure, ensuring a highly synchronous administrative center, meeting the development needs in at least the next 50 years. Thuy Nguyen is also one of the important economic centers of Hai Phong, with a large industrial park system and a strong development orientation of industry - services, capable of playing a role in coordinating economic development for the entire city when merging.
Speed up the project's progress
Recently, at the inspection of the implementation of the project of Hai Phong Political - Administration Center, the Standing Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Le Anh Quan assessed a number of work on the construction site, slowly implemented, the human resources were still small, the technical infrastructure item was still sprawling, not guaranteeing the progress of the project and the movement of agencies and units to the City Political - Administration Center ...
The Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested the Management Board of the Construction Investment Project and Hai Phong Infrastructure and Infrastructure to continue urging and requiring contractors to construct the construction of the City Political and Administrative Center to supplement manpower, material resources and construction of 3 consecutive shifts. In particular, contractors constructing the interior item must be completed before April 25. The Management Board is responsible to the Chairman of the City People's Committee in case of not guaranteeing the required progress.
Along with speeding up the progress of the Political - Administrative Center project, Hai Phong City also researched and developed plans to ensure working conditions for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in Hai Duong province such as supporting means of transportation, housing, traffic connection, etc.
In the immediate future, in order to support Hai Duong officials to have a place to live to work stably at the City Political - Administrative Center, Hai Phong City has arranged about 400 apartments in 2 social housing projects in Ngo Quyen district for Hai Duong officials to rent for a period of 2-3 years. At the same time, urge the implementation of apartment buildings combined with commercial services (33 floors) in the extended Do Muoi street area, prioritizing Hai Duong's staff.
